Prop firms for swing trading

8 prop firms found

How can you tell whether a prop firm suits swing trading?

Swing trading involves holding positions for several days or even weeks.

Unlike day trading, this approach requires you to consider specific criteria when choosing a prop firm.

Key criteria for swing traders

Overnight and weekend holding allowed

This is the most important criterion. Check that the prop firm allows you to hold positions past the daily close, including over the weekend.

Most CFD prop firms offer this flexibility, unlike Futures prop firms which often require you to close positions each day.

Reasonable swap fees

When you hold positions for several days, overnight charges (swaps) can quickly eat into your profits.
