FundedNext is a CFD prop firm that has recently started offering Futures accounts as well.
Founded in 2022, it says it has paid more than $257 million to over 93,000 funded traders.
I'll go through its different accounts, the pros and cons, and the offers I find most interesting.
1) Account types
FundedNext offers four challenge formats:
- Stellar 2-Step is a conventional two-phase evaluation, similar to those at many CFD prop firms
- Stellar Lite also has two phases, but comes with stricter conditions in exchange for a lower price
- Stellar 1-Step reduces the evaluation to one phase
- Stellar Instant gives you a funded account directly, without an evaluation phase

Drawdown type
Stellar Instant accounts use trailing drawdown.
Stellar Lite, Stellar 1-Step and Stellar 2-Step accounts use trailing end-of-day drawdown.
Profit split
On Stellar Lite, Stellar 1-Step and Stellar 2-Step accounts, the trader's profit share starts at 80%.
It can rise to 90% through FundedNext Pro, or 95% with paid add-ons, which I cover in the disadvantages section.
On Stellar Instant accounts, the trader's share starts at 70% and rises to 80% from the third payout milestone.
It then remains capped at 80%.
2) Advantages
No consistency rule during challenges
FundedNext has no consistency rule during the challenge phases.
You can therefore reach the profit target with a single highly profitable day without a penalty.
No activation fee
There is no activation fee after passing the challenge.
What you pay when you sign up is the total cost of getting the funded account.
A scaling programme
FundedNext Pro increases funded account capital and the profit split for Stellar Lite, 1-Step and 2-Step accounts.
To qualify, you must make four consecutive withdrawals with account growth of at least 4% between each withdrawal, over a minimum of two months.
On a $100,000 funded account, the capital rises to $125,000 after those four withdrawals, an increase of 25%.
The profit split also rises permanently to 90%.
You also receive a free Stellar Lite 100K account and a 12% discount on future challenge purchases.
This progression can repeat several times.
Each new series of four withdrawals increases the capital by another 25%, up to a maximum of $4 million.
The programme is particularly attractive for traders who can maintain consistent results over several months.
A 15% bonus
Stellar 1-Step and Stellar 2-Step challenges offer a bonus equal to 15% of the challenge's profit target.
But unlike what I've read in many reviews, you don't get this bonus just for passing the challenge.
You first need FundedNext Pro status, which requires four consecutive withdrawals meeting the scaling programme's conditions.
The bonus depends only on the challenge's profit target, not on how you perform on the funded account afterwards.
For a $100,000 account with a $10,000 profit target, the bonus is $1,500.
3) Disadvantages
The best profit split requires a paid add-on
The default profit split on Stellar Lite, Stellar 1-Step and Stellar 2-Step accounts is 80%.
Two paid add-ons can raise it to 95%:
- The Lifetime Reward 95% Add-On gives you a permanent 95% profit share from the first payout. It adds 25% to the price of a Stellar 1-Step challenge and 30% to a Stellar Lite or Stellar 2-Step challenge.
- The On-Demand Rewards Add-On costs 5% of the challenge price and offers a 95% profit share. In return, you must meet a consistency requirement when requesting a withdrawal: your best trading day cannot account for more than 40% of the account's total profit.
A risk limit on funded accounts
Once funded, you cannot risk more than 3% of the account's initial capital on a single trade.
On a $100,000 account, the maximum potential loss is $3,000 per position.
All orders associated with that position count towards the limit.
The first breach results in a warning and the removal of profits from the affected trade.
After a second breach, the risk limit is permanently reduced to 1% per trade.
Usable margin is also permanently reduced to 30%.
A long wait for the first payout
On Stellar 2-Step and Stellar Lite accounts, you cannot request the first payout until after 21 days.
At FTMO, one of its main CFD competitors, the wait is 14 days.
Stellar 1-Step is an exception, with an initial payout cycle of five business days.
Rules change frequently
FundedNext regularly changes its account and programme rules.
The scaling programme, profit split and 15% bonus conditions have already changed several times since 2025.
The Express account has also been withdrawn from sale.
If you trade over a long period, check the conditions applying to your account regularly instead of relying solely on the rules in place when you signed up.
4) My recommendation
I recommend the Stellar 2-Step 100K. That's where the account size you get for the challenge price starts to look really interesting.
It costs $5.49 per $1,000 of capital, compared with $9.83 for the 6K account.
The 200K gives you slightly more capital for your money, but you have to spend twice as much upfront. That makes the difference less worthwhile unless you actually need an account that large.
Stellar Lite remains cheaper than Stellar 2-Step, with a cost per dollar of capital that is 30% to 40% lower, depending on account size.
However, that price difference reflects less favourable conditions.
Stellar Lite can work if your starting budget is the main deciding factor. But don't treat it as just a cheaper version of Stellar 2-Step.
Once funded, I think the On-Demand Rewards Add-On is the best-value way to get a 95% profit share from your first payout, since it costs only 5% of the challenge price.
I don't recommend Stellar 1-Step accounts. Their prices are difficult to justify compared with some Futures challenges.
For example, FundedNext's Stellar 1-Step 6K costs $8.17 per $1,000 of capital, versus $5.12 for the 25K EOD at Apex Trader Funding, including activation. The gap grows at larger account sizes.
FundedNext also has a more demanding profit target: 10% in a single phase, compared with 6% at Apex.
5) FundedNext Labs
Through FundedNext Labs, the firm occasionally offers accounts that test new rules outside its Stellar range.
The programme covers CFDs and Futures. Four Labs have launched:
- CFDs-FNL:001
- CFDs-FNL:002
- Futures-FNL:003
- CFDs-FNL:004
CFDs-FNL:002, for example, is a two-phase 25K challenge with a 12% static drawdown.
Once funded, the trader needs three profitable days of at least $250 each before requesting a payout.
