1) General rules and platform
Taurus Arena is a Futures prop firm founded in 2025.
You get access to Volumetrica, with a dashboard that keeps updating in real time. I have to say, I find the platform really intuitive.
This is an important point, as many prop firms recently lost access to Project X following restrictions imposed by Topstep.
2) Account types
Taurus Arena offers two account formats: Frees and Prime.
The main differences are the activation fees and the consistency rules that apply once funded.
Frees accounts
- Higher upfront price
- No activation fee after passing the challenge
- A 30% consistency rule on the funded account, with no extra option required
If you pass a Frees challenge, you avoid the activation fee and immediately get the 30% consistency rule.
For example, a Frees 50K account costs $130.

Prime accounts
- Lower upfront price
- An activation fee after passing the challenge
- A 20% consistency rule on the funded account, unless you buy the option to raise it to 30%
For a Prime 50K account, for example:
- Challenge price: $80
- Activation fee: $120
- Option to raise the consistency threshold to 30%: $15
The total is $215, almost $100 more than a Frees account.
3) Customisation options
Taurus Arena stands out for letting you customise your challenge.
You can change several settings to suit your trading style:
- Drawdown type: switch from trailing to end of day for $20, or $10 during a promotion
- Consistency threshold: raise it from 20% to 30% for $15
- Funded account reset: a paid option I've never seen at other firms, which lets you recover your funded account once if you lose it
These options remain affordable, especially compared with the price differences between trailing and end-of-day drawdown at other prop firms.
4) Promotions and bundles
Taurus Arena regularly runs attractive promotions.
For example, the current offer lets you buy three accounts for $49, provided you link them and trade them as a single account.
It's a great option for increasing your payout potential without multiplying the fees.
These offers last only a few days, so you need to watch the site to take advantage of them.
5) Advantages
- Very affordable prices during promotions
- Access to Volumetrica, whose interface I prefer to Project X
- Customisable accounts
- A funded account reset option
- Challenges with no activation fee
6) Disadvantages
There aren't many drawbacks, but you need to know about them.
Taurus Arena is still a very young prop firm, only a year old. We don't yet have much history to judge how reliable its payouts and long-term management are, even though the first feedback is very positive.
The other drawback is the 20% consistency rule on Prime accounts. Raising it to 30% requires a paid option.
7) My account recommendation
I recommend the Frees 100K with the end-of-day option enabled.
Payout eligibility is more favourable on larger accounts.
To qualify for a withdrawal, you need five days with at least $150 in profit each and must reach a profit threshold.
For a 25K account:
- Maximum loss allowed: $1,000
- Profit target: around $2,000
- Ratio: 2:1
For a 100K account:
- Maximum loss allowed: $3,000
- Profit target: around $4,000
- Ratio: 1.3:1
And making $150 a day with only $1,000 of drawdown room on a 25K means taking a lot of risk.
With $3,000 of room on the 100K, the risk is more manageable.
Of course, I'd recommend the end-of-day option either way. I think that goes without saying.
